While penning a piece for the Business Insider, Chris Pash reveals that self-managed super fund investors are gloating over international markets and that their foray into exchange traded funds and international market shares has become the talk of the town.
In an analysis ranging April 2013 to April 2014, SMSFs interest in the international market shares has become twofold. Number of SMSF funds holding ETFs has also come up by 41% over this same time range.
SMSF investors are recommended to keep a holistic view
While the move cannot be criticised, given its potential for diversification, investors are recommended to keep a holistic, long-term view. With some of the global stocks (US, for example) riding high at the moment, short-term market corrections are on the cards and as and when it happens, it may shatter hopes of fast bucks for these SMSF investors.
